Split the job into two payments
Installers usually get paid twice: once after the install, and again after takedown. Sending two separate payment requests keeps each one clear. Mandalo doesn't have a deposit feature, but two links do the same job, and both show up as paid or pending in your dashboard.

Terms to put in writing
- Scope: where lights go, how many strands, timer or smart plugs included.
- Dates: install window and takedown window, with a weather backup date.
- Repairs during the season: included, or billed per visit?
- Ownership: who owns the lights, and who stores them.
- Cancellation: what happens if the customer cancels after materials are ordered.
- Payment: when each amount is due.

Frequently asked questions
Should I take payment before installing?
Many installers ask for the install amount at booking, because materials and scheduling cost money up front. Then bill takedown separately. It's your policy; Mandalo just gives you a paid/pending record for each link.
Can one invoice cover install and takedown?
You can, but two separate requests keep payments simpler if takedown happens months later.
