Mandalo is a payment-link tool for local service businesses. These terms explain how it works and what each party is responsible for.

Who can use Mandalo
Mandalo accounts are for merchants — local service businesses that collect payment from customers for services rendered. You must be legally permitted to operate your business and accept payments for the services you offer.
Merchant responsibilities
You are responsible for the services you provide to your customers, the accuracy of each payment request, customer communication, service quality, job records, taxes, licenses, and any refund commitments you make. Mandalo is not a party to the service agreement between you and your customer.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. To receive payouts, you must complete Stripe Connect onboarding and accept Stripe's applicable terms, including Stripe's connected account terms. Stripe may require business, tax, identity, and bank information before enabling charges or payouts.
Mandalo's role
Mandalo provides payment-link generation, a hosted payment page, merchant payment history, and a receipt trail. Mandalo is not a bank, payment processor, lender, escrow provider, or financial institution. We do not hold merchant funds or decide Stripe disputes.
Platform fees and Stripe fees
Mandalo may charge platform fees to merchants. Stripe also charges payment processing fees. Unless Mandalo later adds an explicit surcharge feature, merchants are responsible for Mandalo and Stripe fees and should not represent those fees as extra charges added by Mandalo to the customer.
Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks
You are responsible for refund decisions, customer service issues, chargebacks, disputes, dispute evidence, and any negative balances or fees connected to your payments. Stripe controls the dispute and payout process. Mandalo may provide links, records, or support information, but we do not guarantee dispute outcomes.
Customer data
When you enter a customer's email or phone number to create a payment link, that contact information is used to create, deliver, and support the payment request. You are responsible for having permission to contact the customer and for complying with applicable email, text-message, and privacy rules.
Prohibited uses
You may not use Mandalo to collect payments for services you did not provide or are not authorized to sell, for deceptive or fraudulent purposes, for illegal activity, for high-risk or restricted businesses, or to process payments on behalf of another business without prior written agreement. You may not share account credentials.
Account access and Stripe restrictions
Mandalo may suspend or limit access if we believe your account creates risk, violates these terms, violates Stripe requirements, or is being used in a way that could harm customers, merchants, Stripe, or Mandalo. If Stripe restricts or closes your connected account, Mandalo may be unable to process payments for you.
Changes to these terms
Mandalo may update these terms from time to time. We'll note the date they were last updated. Continued use of Mandalo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Limitation of liability
Mandalo is provided as-is. We are not liable for losses resulting from Stripe account restrictions, disputes, payment failures, or service issues between merchants and their customers. Use of this service is at your own risk.
