For independent service owners

Payment links for lawn care businesses

Finish the mow, send the bill, and see who has paid. A simple payment routine for solo lawn-care owners who want a card option alongside cash or bank transfers.

No monthly fee · $1.50 per successful payment + Stripe fees

A payment routine that fits your work

  • After a visit: request the agreed amount for that day's mow and any approved add-ons.
  • At month end: create an itemized invoice with a line for each visit. You choose when to send it.
  • Before seasonal work: confirm the scope and amount before requesting payment for mulch, cleanup or other agreed work.

Mandalo does not schedule crews, optimize routes, or automatically bill weekly mowing. Each request is created by you; a saved card still needs the customer's approval for each payment.

From an agreed job to a payment request

For this fictional $135.00 job, you could enter these agreed service lines in an itemized invoice:

  • Mow and edge — $40
  • Leaf cleanup — $95

The product generates this payment-request wording for you to review and send from your own phone:

Hi! Here's your secure payment link from Green Edge Lawn Care: $135.00 for mowing, edging and leaf cleanup. Pay by card in under a minute, no account needed: [your payment link]
Exact output from Mandalo's message generator using fictional data and a placeholder link. No real payment or customer testimonial. No editorial corrections.

Once the customer pays, check the paid status in your dashboard. If it is still pending, review the request and send a reminder yourself.

Use the lawn care invoice template for a worked invoice and copy-ready customer messages.

Before choosing a payment tool

Mandalo adds a per-payment fee to Stripe. If you are comfortable creating links directly in Stripe, compare that option first. If you need automatic recurring invoices or payment reminders, compare a broader invoicing product.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost?

No monthly fee. Mandalo charges $1.50 per successful payment, plus Stripe's processing fees. Stripe's standard US domestic-card rate is typically 2.9% + 30¢; your account and payment method can change the rate.

How do I start accepting payments?

Create your account and complete Stripe connection and onboarding. Then enter the customer contact, amount and job description. Optional itemized invoices include the customer name, dates, quantities and prices.

Does Mandalo automatically text or remind my customers?

You copy the link or use your phone's messaging app to send the text yourself. Email requests can be sent by Mandalo when an email is provided. Reminders are manual; Mandalo supplies wording in English and Spanish.

Can customers use Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Eligible customers can use these wallets where supported by their device, browser and Stripe setup, or pay by card. Customers do not need a Mandalo account.

What are the payment limits?

For connected Stripe payments, the minimum is $1.51 and the maximum is $50,000.00 per request. The amount must exceed the configured Mandalo fee and meet Stripe's minimum. Stripe handles payout timing; a paid request is not an instant bank deposit.
